A story Amy and I (and later Fay) wrote in PSE today when we had to do an hours sponsored silence.
Amy is blue, I am purple and Fay is pink.
Once on a rock there lay some poo. This chicken laid eggs, not lamb-chops because they look like Emma. In 30 days the hippos emigrate to Poland. Narnia looks very interesting, this is usual in Summer. Octopusses have blue tentacles which are never orange. Amy likes boys who sparkle like vampires [*angry vampire face*], but one day she saw me. This caused earthquakes in Wales (OMG dun-dun-dunnnnnn).* While you fished whales in space, I want Hermione Granger! Joe Harper is Fays! Exclamation mark? Fay what? Pigfarts. "Eww shhh pig." Pigeons are pink! Liar D<
THE END.
*This is where the story actually finished...but we carried on.

Also, in 2010 I want to take up a non-internet-related hobby, so maybe you guys could suggest something? I was contemplating joining my mate's dance and drama but I'm not sure. Suggestions and opinions?
I'll be back again this weekend probably. I broke up for Christmas today, so you lot have me for a while.

A Lickle* Notice.
Short blog just to say that I'm going to be messing around with this blog for the next few days, just trying out some new layouts and stuff, so if you click on it and it looks completely psychotic (because blogs can be psychotic), just ignore it.
Also, I have a formspring now, so if you would like to ask me questions, click here.

Helping Hands.
Every morning when I'm going to school, Radio City is on. Usually, I have my iPod on, so I don't listen to it, but I forgot to charge my iPod last night, so I went to school without it. I do quite like listening to Rossy in the mornings, I just prefer to listen to my iPod so I don't have to bother with people on the bus first thing in the morning.
Today, Rossy read a letter or an email somebody sent him. I missed the very beginning, but I caught the rest of it, so it made perfect sense. It was about two boys the writer knows, and it said that when the younger boy was eleven and the older boy was fourteen, their dad walked out on them and their mother because he couldn't put up with something or other anymore. The mother was ill, and tried her best to look after her sons, but her health was deteriorating, and it was more the boys looking after her.
September of this year, their mother passed away. The younger boy is now 16 and the older boy 18 (I'm assuming almost 19), and so the older boy is the legal guardian of the younger boy. They don't want to be separated because they're all they have left in the world. They live in a house with no alarm system, hardly any furniture, only one bed, lots of rooms without doors...etc. This Christmas will mean the boys are alone in their house, and will probably not be a good day. They don't have much money and are just managing to get by.
The writer said that she wasn't asking for money or gifts, but she wanted advice. The response was amazing. People were texting and emailing in with advice, furniture shops were offering to give the boys furniture, one woman said she had a spare bed they could have, lots of people said they had spare doors they would be willing to fit for them, a man who works for an alarm company offered to set them up, people from one of the markets in town offered to give them fruit and veg and I think a turkey too, a hotel offered to pick them up, give them Christmas dinner and take them home, one woman said if Rossy would pass along her number she would be willing to go round and clean the house...people offered to do so much for these two boys they'd never met.
I must admit, I have not nearly gone into as much detail as the letter did. It was heart-breaking. I didn't realise until one person said, "It's what we do in Liverpool...we all look after each other," that this might not be the case in some cities. I grew up in a place where by no means was everybody friendly and nice to each other, but where the majority of people are willing to step up and help you at a moments notice. I don't know what happens in other countries; if these boys lived in say...New York, would they get the same response? I don't know how close-knit other communities are, and I didn't realise until today that they probably aren't as close as Liverpool and the rest of the North West.
I like living here. We get a lot of bad press, people think we're all thieves and are untrustworthy, and it's annoying, because I doubt half of the people who say those things have ever met a person from Liverpool. I'm thankful that I live here and got to grow up being taught that if a person is in need, you help them whether you like them or not.
There isn't really a point to this blog, but it's something I wanted to say. When I heard the story this morning, I knew I wanted to blog about it. I wanted to put it somewhere where anybody in the world can see it and think, "it's a nicer place than I thought." I want people to know that you can come from all of your big cities; London, Paris, New York, wherever, and I doubt you'll find a community like ours.

EMERGENCY BLOG; SCORPION SANDWICH.
Some of you may know that every week day at 5 o'clock, I watch Paul O'Grady (which I'm very sad to say is wrapping up it's last series! also, RIP Buster Elvis Savage).
There's always weird people showing off their weird talents, isn't there? You may remember one episode during this series where a man put a live scorpion in his mouth (and then his hat thing hit him in the face and angered the scorpion). I LIKED this, and it stuck in my mind (as well as the man who put four ping pong balls in his mouth and did tricks with them).
Last night, Maureen Johnson tweeted;
"You should never eat a ______________". Thinking about the Scorpion Man, I @replied Maureen, saying, "scorpion sandwich". There was no way on earth I could have predicted the outcome of my little tweet!
Maureen LIKED it. She started a band and named it "Scorpion Sandwich".
There is a FACEBOOK PAGE for Scorpion Sandwich.
There is a YOUTUBE CHANNEL for Scorpion Sandwich.
There is a TWITTER for Scorpion Sandwich.
Needless to say, I am pathetically giddy and the cup of tea I am drinking is probably not helping to calm me down.
Sundays are usually my least favourite days of the week, because they're so horribly boring, but waking up to find this has made this one of my most FAVOURITE DAYS EVER.

7, 144 and Johnny Vegas is hosting Paul O'Grady!
I love Johnny Vegas!
Hello!
I know I said I wouldn't blog, but I'mprocrastinating writing the next 2858 words feeling up to it.
I want to introduce you guys to Clementine, the main character of my novel. Say hello to the people, Clementine. Hello to the people.
Clementine is a werewolf. Clementine is taking over my brain. I was born here, it's rightfully mine.
I wasn't really too fixed and happy about the planned ending of my novel, but I was just talking to my friend Rachel, and she asked me what the best friend's name was. I told her I didn't know, and then,so I had an excuse to procrastinate I decided to find a name for her. I know I definitely wanted her name to begin with an 'R', for Rachel, because Phoebe and Kate are already in there, so I went to this lovely website and started searching, knowing I'd know that that was her name when I saw it.
I finally settled upon Randi, because it means shield-wolf, which will have greater significance in the rest of the series (I'm not even half way through this novel and I'm already set on writing a series?!). I'm a lot happier with the ending now, because it seems to have a point. I suppose it always had a point, it just needed a finer detail to explain the point to me. Anyway, I think I might actually be able to write the next 2858 words I need for today (darn catch-up!).
I'll try to post again as soon as possible!
I'll leave you with a joke;
The fella from the Hokey Cokey died yesterday. They couldn't get him into the coffin, because he put his left leg in, his left leg out...!

Please Don't Throw Rotten Fruit At Me!
Urgh, super sorry for the fact that this blog hasn't been updated in ages! I've had other stuff going on, and I didn't really have time, and when I did have time, I had nothing to talk about. And there's also a huge possibility that you won't hear from me on here for the whole of November.
From that last sentence, I think it's pretty obvious that I'm taking part in NaNoWriMo this year, along with the BEDFAY girls. It's not the fact that to keep on track I'll have to write roughly 1667 words a day that means I'll be missing, it'll be the fact that if I have a rush of inspiration, I won't stop writing until I'm drained of every noun, verb and adjective that I currently hold, and if I don't have inspiration, I'll freak out about not making it to 50,000 words by November 30th. I like my story idea, but I don't love it. I guess I'll just write and see where I end up.
Jeesh, I feel like I have to make the lack of posts up to you guys with this really amazing post, and since I just blogged on BEDFAY yesterday, I have nothing to say. I don't even have anything to say about today because I didn't do anything today.
I did read the first three books in the House of Night series though. I started a couple of nights ago, and finished the third one this morning. Y'see, at the end of school last year, my school gave me a £10 gift voucher (and I seriously think it was just for being awesome. They gave out £5 vouchers to a few kids in each class, and £10 vouchers to the two bestest kids!). Due to my lack of money, I decided to use the aforementioned voucher to buy 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson. Thing was, 13LBE only cost something like £5. My dad told me that, since I wouldn't be getting any money back from the voucher, I might as well buy another book (did I already tell you lot this story? Oh, well, you're reading it again). My mother picked up a book, read the blurb, said it sounded like something my sister would buy, and since I only went to buy 13LBE, I was like, "Sure, okay, let's go pay". I'm often like that when I pick out a book because then I read it in the car (or in McDonalds as I did when I bought Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman the other week). My dad then pointed out that the books where Buy One Get One Free, so my mum picked up the next one (which luckily turned out to be the one that followed the one she'd just given me), and we hurried down the shop to pay for them. I wasn't really too interested in the other books, but I'm always happy to get a book.
Anyway, I get home and when I finish 13LBE, I pick up the next book. Sadly, it was the fourth book in the series, and although, like most books in series do, it recaps the other books at the beginning, I wasn't comfortable reading it smack bang in the middle. I decided that I'd buy the first three another time. I was actually going to buy them when I bought Noughts and Crosses, but I didn't real feel like it (I was drawn to N&C). So, in chemistry, my friend Julia and I were discussing books. I love talking to Julia, because she's a fellow reader, and we have a lot in common with books. She mentioned that she'd read the first three books in a series, and somebody said they were going to lend her the last two but they never did. I figured I'd give these books a look at, so I asked her what the series was. "House of Night," she said. I squealed and half-shouted, "I HAVE THE LAST TWO BOOKS BUT NOT THE FIRST THREE!". After some laughing and talking, we agreed that we'd swap; she'd lend me the first three, and I'd lend her the last two, and so we did.
I decided to finish the N&C series before I read them, so they were sitting on my bedside table for a few days. When I picked up the first one, Marked, the other night, I didn't think I'd like it. It sounded kind of cheesy, but I'm not one to judge a book by it's cover, so I read it. I ended up getting really into it, and the only time I put it down was when I went to bed (and that was after reading at least seven chapters whilst lying in bed, giving me a nasty case of pins and needles). I finished it the next day, and literally immediately picked up Betrayed. I didn't put that down unless I was eating or drinking, and read that in bed too (I'm getting pretty good at ignoring pins and needles, in case you're wondering!). As you might have guessed, when I'd finished that, it was instantly swapped for Chosen. Now, I finished Chosen this morning, and here's where the problem came about. I definitely do not want to start another series (I like to read a series in one go, because then my mind isn't tainted with other books blending in with what I've read, and everything is still fresh in my mind). I kind of walked about the house aimlessly, unsure of what to do next. I'm not going to rush Julia if she hasn't read them yet, because she read the series first and she deserves to enjoy them! But I'm at a loss of what to do.
It's not a series I'd recommend to everybody. It's modern, but it's different. It's about vampyres (and yes, it's supposed to be spelled with a 'y'), but they're not typical vampires. No way are they like Twilight vampires (thank goodness! Er, no offense, Twilight fans), but they're not exactly Joss Whedon either. Actually, some of them are Joss Whedon, but they're different. We first meet this kind in book one, but we don't know that. We meet them again in book two, and this time, they're what the main story is about, but it's in the third book that we figure out they're completely stereotypical vampires; can't come in unless they're invited, burst into flames in sunlight, no soul, etc., etc.
I think it's worth giving the series a try, but I wouldn't say buy all of the books at once, because it seems like a kind of 50/50 book. Buy the first one, and if you like it, get the second one. If you don't, at least you tried it!
Huh, this turned out to be an alright blog, dontcha think? I do, but I suppose I'm biased.
I heart you all<3
